Several bunkers of the so-called Pyrenees Defensive Organization were built around Capdella, a fortified line to reinforce the border with France. The works covered the mountain that separates Espot from Capdella, with the aim of controlling the area of Sant Maurici, Estany Gento and the old road from Capdella to Estany Gento, parallel to the Flamisell River. The construction of the line was not completed and no military units or armaments were installed on it.
